microcement

Concrete-Inspired. Refined by Hand.

A contemporary mineral plaster finish that captures the understated character of concrete through subtle tonal movement and a refined, matte appearance.

Applied by hand, Muralis Microcement creates continuous-looking architectural surfaces with the depth and individuality of traditional plaster craftsmanship.

THE ART OF MICROCEMENT

Minimal in Appearance.
Rich in Detail.

Inspired by the quiet strength of concrete, Muralis Microcement brings a contemporary material expression to interior architectural surfaces.

Formulated with hydrated lime, white cement, selected aggregates, and performance modifiers, this decorative mineral plaster combines the visual character of concrete with the subtle variations of a hand-applied finish.

Applied in carefully worked layers using traditional troweling techniques, the material develops natural surface movement and tonal depth. An optional matte acrylic-siloxane color wash can further refine its appearance, creating a cohesive, understated finish.

The result is a surface that feels architectural in its simplicity and distinctive in its detail.

SUITABLE SUBSTRATES

Muralis Microcement is intended for appropriately prepared architectural surfaces, particularly interior walls where a continuous, concrete-inspired appearance is desired.

Substrates must be sound, stable, clean, and properly prepared before application. Surface preparation and primer requirements should be determined according to the substrate and specified finishing system.

Exterior applications require an appropriate protective system and manufacturer approval. Suitability for wet areas, floors, and other specialized applications must be confirmed separately.

ENVIRONMENTAL CREDENTIALS

Muralis Microcement is supported by life-cycle assessment (LCA) documentation developed using ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 methodology, providing a framework for evaluating the material's environmental impacts throughout its life cycle.

This documentation supports informed material selection for projects with environmental performance objectives. It should not be interpreted as an independent sustainability certification or proof of compliance with specific green building rating systems.

BEYOND THE PALETTE

Made to Match Your Vision

The most considered spaces are built around materials that work together.

Beyond our standard color collection, Muralis offers custom color and texture development to complement the architectural direction of each project.

Whether matching an existing material palette, exploring a specific mineral tone, or refining the level of surface movement, our team works closely with designers and architects to develop a finish that feels cohesive with its surroundings.

THE APPLICATION

Precision in
Every Layer

The simplicity of microcement is achieved through a highly considered application process.

Each layer is applied and refined by hand, with careful attention to surface preparation, texture, movement, and the desired final appearance.

The angle and pressure of the trowel, the way the material is worked, and the finishing technique all influence the character of the surface.

At Muralis, craftsmanship is expressed through precision and restraint, creating continuous-looking finishes that complement the architecture without competing with it.

residential interiors

Create cohesive, understated walls and architectural features that complement contemporary living spaces.

EXPERIENCE THE FINISH

See the Texture.
Feel the Difference.

The character of microcement is revealed in the details.

Subtle tonal movement, fine surface variations, and the way light interacts with the finish are best appreciated in person.
Muralis offers physical color and texture samples upon request, allowing architects, designers, and clients to evaluate the material alongside their project's lighting, palette, and surrounding finishes.
